Chicago Legal Recruiter

Susan MendelsohnSUSAN MENDELSOHN, Esq., founder and president of Mendelsohn Legal, is a former law firm equity partner and co-chair of the firm’s marketing committee. She understands the inner workings and cultures of law firms and corporate legal departments and the need to find the right match for both firm or legal department and candidate.

The search process requires tenacity, creativity and drive. Mendelsohn Legal taps into numerous resources, including a robust network of industry contacts, plus databases, journals, the Internet, and more. We carefully vet job requirements and candidates through meetings and in-depth evaluations, resulting in the placement of the right candidate in the right job.

Mendelsohn Legal does not end its relationship with a candidate once placed in a firm or corporate legal department. Susan understands the need to continue assisting the law firm or corporation in the integration of the partner, associate or paralegal. Susan also continues to meet with candidates to ensure that everyone’s expectations are met or exceeded and often offers business development and other career advice.

Susan Mendelsohn believes that "giving back" is a key component of her firm's work. Mendelsohn Legal donates a portion of each payment for a completed search to charities benefiting the legal community and diversity programs.
